Weekly update

adillnutt

What a fantastic week it has been! We are so proud of all the hard work our students have been putting in, and there’s plenty to celebrate. This week’s spellings are “challenge-words”, drawing from the various spelling rules studied over the last half-term. These can be found on Spelling Shed or in students’ books—plenty of practice will go a long way! Our Doodle learners continue to impress, applying their practice at home to their schoolwork.

Exciting news—rehearsals for Westerings The Musical are beginning! The performance is set for just before the Easter holiday, and more information will be shared in the coming weeks. Over half term, we’ll release the songs for students to rehearse at home. Any students eager for a speaking role will be assigned one—so get ready to take centre stage!

Hopefully, the weather will be on our side this week as we attempt our cross-country tryouts again on Friday. Please ensure students come prepared with appropriate footwear—it might get muddy! Fingers crossed for clear skies this time.

A huge well done to all those logging their reading on Boom Reader—it’s fantastic to see so many students making significant progress and moving on to more challenging reads. Please keep logging every session, as it’s an important part of tracking development and celebrating achievements!

We are excited to share all the fantastic work we’ve been doing this half term! Join us next Wednesday for our after-school parent pop-in. It’s an excellent opportunity to see what students have been up to. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Thank you for your continued support, and let’s keep up the great work. Have a wonderful week ahead!
